This model is generally offered in the versatile 37 mm size and is a direct successor to the highly popular 15450ST. It retains the signature octagonal bezel, exposed screws, and integrated bracelet, but its clean, minimalist time-and-date layout highlights the exceptional craftsmanship and finishing of the case and bracelet. Modern versions (like the 15550ST) contain the newly developed in-house Calibre 5900 movement.

• Dial: The classic Silver/White "Grande Tapisserie"dial provides maximum contrast and legibility against the applied white gold indices and hands. The simplicity of the three-hand plus date layout keeps the focus entirely on the geometric pattern and the watch's sophisticated proportions. The date window is elegantly placed near the 3 o'clock marker.
• Bezel & Case: The Stainless Steel components receive Audemars Piguet’s legendary finishing—a complex mix of satin-brushing on the flat surfaces and highly polished chamfers (bevels) on the edges. This contrast of finishes makes the steel case shimmer and ensures the watch looks far more luxurious than typical stainless steel watches.
• Bracelet (Chain): The fully integrated Stainless Steel bracelet is considered one of the best bracelets ever made, famous for its comfortable taper, flexibility, and the razor-sharp finishing on every single link.
• Movement (Machine): For the newest generation (15550ST, introduced in 2022), the watch utilizes the AP Calibre 5900. This movement replaced the former Calibre 3120 and is thinner, features a higher beat rate (4Hz), and offers a solid 60-hour power reserve. For models produced in 2022, the movement featured the special "50th Anniversary" oscillating weight (rotor).
